Why join us?
At sea you will become mates with the other 35 trainees on board and with the enthusiastic Wylde Swan crew. And off course - together we will compete with the other Class A ships - all Tall Ships.
Once the finish line is crossed we throw a party onboard and in the port of call a great sail festival awaits you.
You will meet the other trainees from the other ships: at the sport events, crew parties or at the crew parade.
We compete in the races, THAT'S FUN! But competition is not the point:
It's all about making new friends.
Maybe you even become buddies for a life time.
Requirements: The main goal of the Tall Ships Races is to bring youngsters aged between 15 and 25 as close to sailing and each other as possible. No sailing experience is required, just great enthusiasm and a taste for adventure!

WYLDE SWAN WINS 5 PRIZES AT THE TALL SHIPS RACES 2011
Wylde Swan looks back on a very successful Tall Ships Races Season 2011.
Our crew was supported by 38 enthusiastic youngsters who participated in a Youth in action program, sponsored by the EU.
They joined the ship in Waterford, Greenock, Lerwick and took line honors for the finish in Stavanger. From Stavanger they raced to Halmstad, where we did not only receive the award for being the first Class A vessel but also received a prize for being the best Class A vessel over all legs.
Just when we thought it could not become any better it was announced that Wylde Swan had won the friendship trophy, which is the most prestigious award! This trophy is presented to the vessel which contributes most to international understanding and friendship. We are very proud of this outstanding performance and would like to take the opportunity to thank everybody who contributed to these great results!
